What, Where, and When

Art & Blues Session is a Blues Jam Session held weekly in Belgrade.

The current host of the Art & Blues Session is Ulica Jazz Bar, located at Dunavska 23, 11000 Belgrade.

Every Thursday 20:00 - 23:00 CET.

Gear

Currently available are two guitar amplifiers, one bass amplifier, a Hammond organ with Leslie speaker, an electric piano, a drum set, and a P.A. system with monitors.

Taking Part

You are very welcome to play with us! If you would like to join, please get in touch via our Instagram or Facebook account. We would need to know what instrument do you plan to play and if you would like to add any new compositions to the existing setlist. In the case of a large number of musician sign-ups, performances will follow the order of registration. Otherwise, performances are a matter of spontaneous and friendly agreement among all musicians at the session, ensuring everyone’s wishes are respected as much as possible.

If you are an experienced musician, ad hoc arrangements and decisions about what will be performed can be made directly on stage or before the session. If you are not, we recommend practicing some songs from our setlist and letting us know in advance what you know or what you would like to play. Our blues jam session is also an opportunity to learn a lot.

Philosophy

We bring together experienced professionals, enthusiasts, amateurs, and beginners. Above all, we are blues lovers, friends, and gentlemen. Accepting the principles of goodwill and nurturing the good relationships we have built and cherish is mandatory. We are an open community and readily welcome new members regardless of their gender, identity, religion, nationality, or ethnicity. Underage musicians are encouraged to join us but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Excessive alcohol consumption (drunkenness), disruptive behavior, or any form of discomfort or harassment towards the audience or musicians will be sufficient grounds for removal from the session. We don’t ask questions like “what is or isn’t blues” - but to be clear, we play blues.
